Our mission is to make a difference for seniors, by empowering them to lead connected lives and reduce isolation through companionship, advocacy and independence, providing peace of mind for their families.
I pride myself in keeping my clients safe at all times. Social distancing is practiced as well as wearing a mask and constant sanitizing.
My name is Monique Saebels. I have worked with seniors and people with diverse disabilities for ten years. I am a certified Community Service worker and also have my certification in First Aid, Food Safe, Palliative Care, and have a current criminal record check.
I know how hard it can be to have caregiver burnout. I took care of my father for ten years that had Dementia and then Alzheimer’s.
I care for my mom who is 86, helping get groceries, get to Doctor appointments, pick up medications and make her meals. Its hard to find balance if you do not know the tools.
One in four Canadians is caring for a family member. You are not alone and I can help. You cannot be there every minute of the day; you have jobs, obligations and need to find a balance.
That is where I come in. Compassionate Companion provides the help needed to let seniors keep their independence and dignity while enjoying everyday comfort. We meet the individual’s needs by meeting with the person or family to discuss likes and dislikes as well as medical information.
If your loved one is in a care home, Compassionate Companion offers quality senior companionship. Whether it is offering a friendly ear, doing crafts, taking them out for an appointment or lunch. I provide healthy interactions and activities that promote cogitative and physical health. Compassionate Companion is here to help you. I offer individualized care, so you can have the peace of mind that your family member is cared for and is safe. Companionship adds richness to the lives of those who are isolated, lonely or depressed. I make the later years fun for your loved one.
